Age Policy
Nova Bar sells products that contain nicotine. Federal law and our own internal policy restrict sale to consumers 21 years of age or older. This page explains how we verify age and what we expect from retail partners.
Federal age requirement
Federal law (Tobacco 21) prohibits the sale of tobacco and nicotine products to anyone under 21 years of age. Nova Bar complies with this requirement in every U.S. jurisdiction where our products are sold.
Site access
Every page of novabarusa.com is gated by an age verification screen. To enter the Site, you must confirm that you are 21 years of age or older. We record that confirmation in your browser session.
The age gate is not a substitute for age verification at point of sale. It is a first layer of protection to prevent minors from accessing product information and imagery.
Retail sale
All authorized Nova Bar retail partners agree, by contract, to:
- Verify purchaser age (21+) at point of sale, using a valid government-issued photo ID
- Refuse sale to any individual under 21, regardless of intent
- Display Tobacco 21 signage in a clearly visible location
- Train staff on age verification procedures and the legal penalties for non-compliance
No youth marketing
Nova Bar branding, packaging, flavor names, and creative are designed for adult consumers. We do not use mascots, cartoon imagery, lunchbox-style flavor names, or any element designed to appeal to minors. Our marketing channels and events are placed only where the audience is verified-adult.
Reporting underage sales
If you witness an unauthorized sale of Nova Bar products to a minor, or you believe a retail partner is not following our age policy, please report it at contact@novabarusa.com. We investigate every report and revoke partnership for confirmed violations.
State and local law
Where state or local law sets a higher minimum age than 21, the higher minimum applies. Where state law restricts the sale of flavored or disposable nicotine products, Nova Bar does not ship to that jurisdiction.
